You click your way around the maps. You can go from one continent to another by clicking on the "To" links, which are in white, near the boundaries.

Click the names, not the regions.

If you arrive at the lowest level (usually the country level, but for the US the state level) we show you the statistics centers in that region. At least the ones we know about, and have entered so far.

By "centers" we mean departments of statistics at universities or in research institutes, or departments of mathematics which have statistics divisions. In some cases, the homepage of an isolated statistician is used. If a department has a consulting center, this may be listed separately if it has a separate WWW page.

If you know of other such centers, please pass them along.

Additional information (official government statistics agencies and national statitical societies) are in the first line of the table.

Our starting point in most cases is the List of Other Places from Statlib, but we have extended and updated that useful and popular list.

The gifs of the maps are taken from various places, but mainly from The Virtual Tourist. They were made for another purpose, thus they are not ideal. The country colors indicate if there are WWW servers in the country. Obviously, if there are no WWW servers there are no statistics links either.
