Gang Pan received the BS and PhD degrees both in Computer Science from Zhejiang University in 1998 and 2004, respectively. Then, he joined faculty of computer science at Zhejiang University. Since 2006, he serves as an associate professor. He is a recipient of Microsoft Fellowship Award 2000. His interest  is mainly in field of philosophy and computational techniques in perceiving and simulating the visual world, e.g. computer vision, image processing, statistical pattern recognition and computational learning theory. He is a member of the IEEE, the ACM and the CCF Pervasive Computing Committee.
