About Me

I'm a Ph.D. candidate in the UCLA Statistics department working in computer vision. I'm specifically interested in grammar-type models for representing objects and scenes, with the hopes of eventually generalizing my work to arbitrary data outside of vision. I have an extracurricular love of all things related to machine learning, data visualization, and that happy union when a huge amount of data slams into something smart enough to do something with it. I'm also completely enamored with DIY electronics projects, social and ubiquitous computing, and anything that brings a hint of art to technology.
