Blood Pressure -- Hypothetical Systolic resting blood pressures on a sample of patients given both before and after an experimental drug designed to lower blood pressure.  Space delimited.

Old Faithful -- The first column contains the variable "duration", which gives the duration of the previous eruption of the geyser "Old Faithful" in minutes.  The "interval" variable gives the number of minutes between the start of  eruptions.  The variable "day" is an index that represents the day the observations were taken.  Tab Deliminated.

Classdata -- This file contains the results of our in-class "survey".  (That last link takes you to text that shows the survey.)  Each row of the dataset represents a person, and each column is the answer to one of the questions.  The first row contains the variable names, so if you are using DataDesk (ActivStats), use the "Use These Variable Names" options when importing the data.  Tab Deliminated.

Homeruns -- The first column represents the homeruns for Sammy Sosa, 1989 through 1998.  The second column is for Ken Griffy, 1989 through 1997.
The third is for Mark McGwire, 1986-88, 94-98.   The fourth is for Roger Maris, sorted in ascending order. The fifth is for Babe Ruth, 1920 through 1934.
THE FIRST COLUMN IS A HEADER AND MIGHT NEED TO BE DELETED BY SOME DATA   ANALYSIS PROGRAMS.  Tab deliminated.

Calories -- A number of people were asked to guess the number of calories of certain foods.  The first column is the name of a food, the second the guessed calories, the third the actual calories.  The data are tab deliminated and the first row contains the variable names.

Midterm 1 scores -- the scores on the first midterm. They have been scrambled so that they appear in a random order.
