Observational: This data set is a set of ninety different trips my roommates and I took to the ninth floor of Boelter Hall. Collecting this data set actually came in handy. We live south of Wilshire Blvd, on the corner of Rochester Avenue and Midvale Avenue. Every morning instead of taking the bus, we usually walk to school. So for a month each of us took 30 different routes. About half of the routes varied around the streets we took between Le Conte and Wilshire, some involved different entrances to different buildings, and a couple of them were as precise as taking two different elevators to the ninth floor. I took 30 different routes to school (walking) car rying my backpack, one of my roommates did the same, except walking at a faster pace, and my other roommate took down times when she walked to school not carrying anything (When she went to the gym, work, on campus meetings, etc). Below is a description of the variables. ROUTE: There were 30 different routes taken by each of us. All were taken in the afternoon (from around 12PM to 5PM) REGULAR: This variable has the times that I walked to school at my usual walking pace. I was carrying my backpack. FASTER: This variable has the times my roommate took down when she was walking at a “faster” than usual pace to school. She also had her backpack on. FASTER_NO_BACKPACK This variable has the times my other roommate took down when she went to campus not carrying anything. The first 10 observations were the routes are the times that it took to get to Boelter taking Gayley all the way to Strathmore. Those times were actually longer. The only variability within those routes were the different building entrances and elevators that were chosen. Observational
