In order to understand the behavior of soil under earthquake loading,
we have to perform the so-called simple shear test. This test allows
us to know the stress strain relationship of a particular soil. 
This dataset contains the simple shear test result for a sandy silty soil
retrieved from a boring in Desert Hot Spring at 55 ft. In this test, 
shear strain of the soil is varied and shear stress at different
strain value is measured.
