Rob Gould

I earned a BS in Applied Math from Harvey Mudd College (1987) and after a brief stint in the “real” world, a Phd in Math (Statistics) from U.C. San Diego.

I am the undergraduate vice-chair of the Dept. of Statistics, and director of the Center for Teaching Statistics. I enjoy consulting work, particularly if it is education related. Currently, I am writing a textbook aimed primarily at the two-year college market. Introductory Statistics: Exploring the World With Data Analysis, with Colleen Ryan, is scheduled to be published by Pearson in Fall 2012.

I am founding editor of Technology Innovations in Statistics Education, an e-journal that publishes peer-reviewed papers work on the intersection of statistics education and technology.
