Discussion Materials
News: paper version is required
from now on for homework assignments. They are graded by the stat13
reader and paper versions are perferred. For lab assignments, you can still
email and are welcome to.
Email submission: Please include "Stats 13" in the email
subject, and kindly name your files as in the following example:

- Lab 1 (Jan 6). R basics.
- Discussion 1 (Jan 8). Review of concepts: variable, sample, frequency
distribution / histogram, quartiles, modes. Overlay two plots in lab1
assignment.
- Lab2 (Jan 13). R commands to compute and display histograms, boxplots.
Interpret the results. Extract elements from table using "subset()".
- Discussion 2 (Jan 15).
- Lab 3. (Jan 20) Re-randomization.
- Discussion 3. (Jan 22) Probability: sample space, event. Law of large
numbers.
- Lab 4. (Jan 27) Computing the null distribution in hypo-geometric case.
