How to Tell Your Friends about your favorite Net Sites.
If you've found a particular site on the net that you like, you can tell
the rest of the class about it through the Chatroom. Here's how:
- Go to the site. From the menu bar, choose Options: Show Location.
The address of where you're at will appear just below the menu bar. It'll
look something like:
http://www.stat.ucla.edu/~rgould
to use an example.
- Write this address down, or save it somehow.
- Go back to the Chatroom and write
your message. In the body of the message, include the following:
< HTML > <A HREF = "http://www.stat.ucla.edu/~rgould"> Cool Site
< /A> < /HTML>
except that where it says "http: ...." you should include the address of
the site, and where it says Cool Site you can put any thing you want.
(You should put something that describes the site.)
- Now send your message. When it appears, the words
"Cool Site" (or whatever you put there) will be highlighted, and clicking
on it will send them to the site.
