The BLUP Page
Welcome to the BLUP Page, where you can learn (almost) everything you
ever wanted to know about what has been modestly called the Best Linear
Unbiased Predictor. Because of personal interest, this page focuses mainly
on applications of the BLUP towards longitudinal studies in general,
and random effects models in particular. For some background of the
Alzheimer's study from which the examples in this document are drawn,
visit my Alzheimer's Research page.
NOTE: This work was done in collaboration with Dr. Douglas Galasko
of the Alzheimer Disease Research Center (ADRC) of UC San Diego and
Prof. Ian Abramson, also of UCSD.
