Heather Corliss is currently a doctoral student in Epidemiology at UCLA. She has volunteered for the WHISPERS project since 1998 and is grateful for the opportunity to become more involved in lesbian and bisexual women's health issues through the efforts of WHISPERS. Before beginning doctoral studies, Heather was active in the Los Angeles County Transgender Task Force and worked at Children's Hospital, Los Angeles and the Gay and Lesbian adolescent Social Services. She is a member and past Student Chair of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Caucus of the American Public Health Association.
