This page is your one-stop source for information concerning this class.  For an inspiring message about the content of this course, please read the syllabus.

My office is in MS 6151.  Office hours are Monday and Thursday, 2pm.  If you'd like to make an appointment (and I invite you to do so ), please email me at rgould@stat.ucla.edu to arrange a time.  (Suggest several times that you are available.)  You can also reach me by phone: 310-206-3381 (or just 63381 if you call from a campus phone).

Your TA is Roger Peng, rpeng@stat.ucla.edu.  His office hours are Tuesday  1-2pm (in the Statistics Computer Lab, 9413 Boelter Hall)  and Wednesday 4-5pm (in his office in  MS 2943).

We will be doing lots of computer work this quarter.  There is a computer lab on the 9th floor of Boelter Hall.  Stay tuned for information about when and how to use the lab.  Quite possibly we will meet there regularly.  The lab is new, and you are its pioneers.  This means that we will be learning many things as we go, and things might not always go smoothly.  Check the link below for updates and late-breaking news.
